Does green tea have caffeine?

Answer: Yes it does. However green tea has considerably less caffeine than a cup of coffee. A cup of coffee can contain upwards if 155 mg of caffeine while green teas is about 24mg for a cup. Now when it comes to tea the amount off caffeine in a cup will also depend on how long it is brewed for. A 1 minute brew will have less caffeine that a 4 minute brew. Caffeine in itself is not really harmful to you, infact many doctors say that a small dose if caffeine every day can be health and beneficial. It’s the side affects of drinking to much caffeine that can cause problems and what most people try to avoid, like insomnia, anxiety and restlessness.

Different types of teas contain different amounts of caffeine levels for example green tea vs. black tea or even white tea. Even though green tea does contain small amounts of caffeine its other health benefits far out weigh the little bit of caffeine contained.

How do I treat toenail fungus and how did I get it? Toenail fungus is a common issue that many people get and many don’t even know they have. For the most part it is not a dangerous or life threatening condition it more can just be unpleasant and unsightly. This type of fungus thrives in dark, warm and damp places and you can easily pick up a spore from public locker rooms or swimming pools, it is recommended when using a public shower to wear shoes or sandals to prevent picking up fungus spores. It is a good idea one you have detected to get treatment right away, as left untreated many complications can develop and can me much harder to get under control. There are some good over the counter treatments to help get rid of toenail fungus as well as many very effective home remedies to help kill all the fungus spores.

Toenail fungus symptoms!
Some types of toenail fungus can be undetectable but for the most part toe nail fungus can cause yellowing of the toenails or can turn the nails brown. Thick and brittle nails are also common side effects of toenail fungus. In extreme cases it can cause the toenails to flake, fall out and even be painful. Fungus can grow on and under both toenails and fingernails but is more common on the feet as for the most part as the proper conditions for the fungus to flourish.

How to treat toenail fungus?
There are a couple of good home remedy treatments to get rid of toenail fungus. For the most part any type of antiseptic will work. A couple of popular choices are tee tree oil and Listerine mouth wash; both are effective in killing the toenail fungus.

How to prevent toenail fungus?
Some simple steps you can take to prevent toenail fungus are: Keep your feet dry. If your feet get wet, and stay wet, it is the perfect breeding ground for the fungus to thrive. Do not share towels or wash cloths. The spore from toenail fungus can be easily spread so avoid using other people towels when at a public pool or gym. Wear wool socks. Wool is great for absorbing moisture and keeps it way from your toenails. Wear clean sock. Don’t let your socks get to dirty. If half way threw your work day and you know that you have been sweating it’s a good idea to wash your feet and put on a fresh clean pair of socks.

How long do to boil eggs for hard boil eggs? This is a very simple question but the answer can be a bit more complicated. When making hard boiled eggs there are thing you should do to get the perfect hard boiled egg and boiling times will depend on how you want your yolks to turn out

Tip 1: Never place cold eggs right out of the refrigerator into boiling water as the extreme temperature difference will cause the eggs to crack and you won’t have a nice boiled egg when done. Its always best to boil and egg from room temperature.

Fill A pot with water enough to cover the eggs by about 1 inch ( do not put the eggs in yet) heat the water on high until you have reached a rolling boil, then turn the temperature down to keep a gentle boil going.
Slowly drop your eggs into the water one at a time. Then set your timer. Its is a good idea to use a timer do not guess, especially when you are trying to achieve a specific type of yolk consistency

Runny Yolk: Boil for 3 minutes.
Firm but Creamy Yolk: Boil for 5 minutes.
Firm Yolk: Boil for 7 Minutes.

If using the hard boiled eggs for cooking you may want to cook them a little longer to make sure the yolk is nice and firma and can be easily chopped. I recommend 8 to 9 minutes for cooking purposes.

Tip 2: Fresh eggs can be difficult to peel, save your fresh eggs for other purposed and try to use eggs that are 7 to 10 days old for hard boiling purposes. They will peel much nicer.

Here are a few easy tips to help you cut back on your energy usage which in turn will help lower your energy bills, including a lower hydro and gas bill. In today’s economy we all want to save money and cut back on our bills and spending however there are some bills we just cant do anything about. Cutting back on our electricity is!

Tip 1: Turn your furnace down 2 degrees. In the winter months just by keeping your thermostat down 2 degrees can save you upwards of $190 a year. That is one really easy thing to do. For the most part you wont really notice the temperature difference if you do find it a little cold you can always wear a sweater.

Tip 2: Install a low flow shower head. Low flow shower heads are very inexpensive but will save you allot on your water bill and the cost to heat the water since you will be using less than half the amount of water you normally would.

Tip 3: Fill in cracks with caulking. Whether you have a new home or an older home. The caulking around your windows and doors break down over time. Simply by adding fresh caulking to stop drafts in the winter can save quit a bit on your heat bill.

Tip 4: Change your furnace filter. Most people neglect their furnace filter by only changing it once a year. Replacing it every 2 months can make your furnace run 40% more efficiently even in the summer months when the air is running. An efficient furnace will save you money over a year.

Tip 4: Clean the condenser coil on the back of your fridge. Have you looked behind your fridge lately. Those cooling coils on the back are like a magnet for dust. These coils are used to dissipate the heat it collects from within your fridge. When covered in dust it can act as insulation making it harder for the coils to get rid of the heat, in turn making your fridge work harder than it needs too and burning threw lots of extra power.

Tip 5: Replace all your light bulbs with high efficiency ones. This can save you so much money. Not only on hydro but even cooling energy. Traditional incandescent bulbs waste 90% of its energy on heat.

Tip 6: Do several loads of laundry together. When you dry a load of laundry your dryer is still warm for quit a while, so by drying a second load right after saves money as it takes less energy to get up to drying temperature.

These are just a few simple things you can do to help cut down on your energy bills. In addition to saving some money which we all want, you are doing good for the environment.

What is better a traditional water heater or a tankless water heater? So your building a new house our your old water heater has just given up. Maybe you just want to update your existing water heater with a more modern energy efficient unit. The question is do you go with a tradition tank storage water heater unit or a new tankless model water heater.

The first obvious benefit is that since there is no tank to fill you will never run out of hot water. A tankless water heater heats your water on the fly as you need it. If you have teenagers right away you should see the benefit of this, no more cold showers after they have had the bathroom.

The next thing to look at is energy savings. While most new gas powered tankless water heaters claim to save 50% on energy consumption this definitely peeks ones interest. However you really need to examine it closer. On average it is estimated that water heating accounts for 30% of an average households energy expense. It works out that a high efficiency gas powered tankless water heater can save a home owner $60 to $80 per year on energy savings. This is good right? Yes however you have to factor in the high price of a tankless water heater unit and installation. It can take up to 22 years to break even on the cost of installing a tankless water heater. So as for saving huge amounts of money that is not a cut and dry decision maker.

No leaky tanks? How often has is happened that your traditional water heater has sprung a leak. This is normal, well not normal but say common. Things break down. With a tankless water heater that is one lest component that can wear out and cause your trouble down the road.

Lastly if you are concerned about our planet which we all should be. That can come in to play as well. Due to 50% less energy usage that saves allot of greenhouse gases and pollution from entering out planet.

So if your needing to replace a broken water heater then I would say go for it. But to replace a working unit to try and save money and cut down your energy usage, This may not be the best way to go about it. Look into other alternatives.

How to make the perfect s’more
Making smores is not a difficult task at all, however making the most delicious smore you have ever tasted is a little trickier but well worth it.

So you have got your campfire roaring, the kids are all bugging to make some s’mores lets make them some that they will never forget.
What you will need
1. Graham crackers
2. Peanut butter
3. Chocolate (Hershey’s or Aero are my favourite)
4. Marshmallows

The first step is to melt the chocolate piece while toasting the graham crackers. I do this with a hand held grate used for cooking hamburgers over the fire. Place The crackers on the grate with chocolate on one piece and a thick slab of peanut butter on the other. Place them above the fire as so not to burn but the crackers get toasted and the chocolate and peanut butter melt. That is key, ewwy goowey meltch shmelty chocolate and peanut butter. In the mean time have someone toasting up the perfect marshmallow. When all is ready slap the two haves together with the marshmallow in the middle wait about a minute as not to burn yourself and enjoy the best s’more you have ever tasted

Tip: Do not use cheap no name marshmallows. I like puffs they taste great and toast up nicely.

How to get gum out of your hair. So you got gum in your hair, a nightmare to say the least. But not to worry getting gum out of your hair is a pretty easy task. First thing make sure you position the hair as not to get it mixed in with more hair. Put the affected area in a pony tail if that helps to keep it away from the other hair. A few simple house hold products will get the gum out of your hair in a snap.

Ideally you will want to use peanut oil or olive oil. However if you don’t have that available peanut butter will work, its just a little messier. The theory is that oils break down the gum and remove all the sticky properties.

1. Massage the oil or peanut butter into the affected area, you should notice right away the gum has started to break down.

2. Once the oil has broke down, Take a comb and comb out the remaining gum.

3. Take a shower to wash out the oil and remaining gum residue.

You should no longer have gum in your hair.
